In the meantime, you can whip up a spin on the timeless classic: try this delicious Philly Cheese Steak Bread recipe at home! With traditional staples like ribeye steak, provolone cheese, and deli French bread, this dish is a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients 

  • 1 Loaf of French bread cut in half lengthwise
  • 9 oz. Thin Sliced ribeye steak
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Bell pepper sliced
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 4 oz. Mushrooms sliced
  • ⅓ C. Mayonnaise
  • 8 oz. Sliced provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Place the sliced bread open side up on a baking sheet and add a layer of mayonnaise to the top.
  • Layer half of the cheese slices on the bread.
  • Cook the steak meat in the oil until completely browned, and add the salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce.
  • In a skillet, cook the onions, peppers and mushrooms in the butter until softened.
  • Add the meat to the top of the bread, followed by the vegetables.
  • Place the rest of the cheese slices on top.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
