Now, you can really stand on your own when it comes to serving these hot chocolate cookies. But if you want to go all out, we recommend pairing it with a tall glass of cold milk for small children and hot coffee for adults. If you really want to enjoy it, you can also serve it with plenty of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • additional mini marshmallows, chocolate Sprinkle with chips and chocolate sprinkles

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the cookies from sticking.

  1. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Anyway, this is the base of the cookie.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until a creamy mixture forms a fluffy cloud. Mix eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a dough forms. Please be gentle now. I don’t want to revise it!
  4. Fold chocolate chips and cute little mini marshmallows into the dough to create little pockets full of melty goodness.
  5. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 9-11 minutes. You’ll know it’s done because the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  7. Immediately after removing from the oven, press extra marshmallows, chocolate chips, and sprinkles onto the top of the cookies. That’s what makes it fun.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve an enthusiastic child or neighbor, or treat yourself!

Variations and Tips:

  • For those who like a subtle minty scent: For a cooling scent, add half a teaspoon of peppermint extract to the dough.
    – If you have a nut lover in your family, chop some pecans or walnuts and add them to the dough for a delicious crunch.
  • And here’s a tip: If your kitchen is as busy as mine, you can make the dough ahead of time and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to bake. This is a real lifesaver when you’re pressed for time.

Remember that food brings people together and creates memories. These hot chocolate cookies are perfect for that purpose. More fun to bake and even more fun to eat!
