SPONGE CAKE Recipe

🌟 Material:

  • ⁠ 4 eggs
  • ⁠ Granulated sugar 1 cup (200 g)
  • ⁠ ⁠Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease the bottom of a round cake pan and line it with baking paper.
    2.⁠ ⁠In a large mixing bowl, mix the eggs and add the sugar.
    3.⁠ ⁠ Using an electric mixer, mix the eggs and sugar on medium-high speed until the mixture thickens, lightens in color, and triples in volume, about 8 to 10 minutes.
    4.⁠ ⁠Add the flour little by little to the egg mixture. Gently fold the flour into the dough using a spatula, being careful not to overmix. Mix the flour thoroughly but gently so that the dough becomes airy.
    5.⁠ ⁠Once the flour is thoroughly mixed, pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
    6.⁠ ⁠ Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    7.⁠⁠Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the mold for 5 minutes. Then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
    8.⁠ ⁠Once cooled, serve the sponge cake as is or top with whipped cream, fresh fruit, and your favorite frosting.
