- 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, cut into pieces, plus additional for greasing the pan
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups oats
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- One 10 to 12-ounce jar strawberry preserves
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9-by-13-inch rectangular pan with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Press half of the oat mixture into the prepared pan, forming an even layer.
- Spread the strawberry preserves over the oat layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the preserves, then lightly pat it down.
- Bake in the preheated oven until light brown, for about 30 to 40 minutes.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan, then cut them into squares.
